Todd Gregory

Marine Development Engineer
University of Rhode Island

Todd is interested in underwater vehicle design and the development of tooling for remotely operated vehicles.  His education as a Naval Architect and Ocean Engineer has enabled an expertise in mechanical and structural design, hydrodynamics, buoyancy, and electronics packaging: key elements in the design of Ballard's vehicles.   In 2002-2003, he was the principle mechanical designer of IFE's latest ROV, Hercules, which he continues to refine for use as a remote tool for ocean exploration and archeological oceanography.  During expeditions, Todd is an ROV Pilot, giving him the opportunity to "fly" his creations and interact with the scientists and students affiliated with the URI Center for Ocean Exploration.
