Krystal is a science teacher at Southwest High School in Houston, Texas.  She currently teaches biology and environmental systems in 9th-12th grade.  Krystal is a former administrator for Auburn University, where she worked with the Alabama Fire Ant Management Program and The School Integrated Pest Management Program in Auburn, Alabama.    

Krystal graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology and she completed her Master of Science degree in Entomology at Auburn University in 2008.
