DeDee has worked in the field of informal science education for over eleven years. She currently works as the Student Programs Coordinator at the John G. Shedd Aquarium where she oversees the onsite field trip programs. In addition, she runs the underwater robotics programs, which include a science club, a regional competition and the development of middle school curriculum. Prior to joining the Shedd, DeDee was a Senior Science Educator at the Adler Planetarium where she oversaw school group and camp programs and a Teacher Programs Coordinator at the Museum of Science and Industry where she ran a yearlong teacher professional development program.

DeDee graduated with from Indiana/Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2000 with degrees in Anthropology and Communications. She completed her M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies from DePaul University in 2010.
