Casey Taylor is a computer scientist with the US Naval Oceanographic Office specializing in underwater mapping, acoustics, and Human System Interfaces to reduce processing time-lines and improve the quality of oceanographic data-sets. He has worked around the world aboard the scientific, coast guard and military vessels of many different countries as a collector, analyst, and subject matter expert in the field of high-frequency acoustics.  A long-time proponent of open source and open standards, leveraging and promulgating non-commercial toolsets, applications, and operating systems has made his work extremely agile, capable, platform independent, and well-aligned to the presidential Open Government Directive.
