Alexandria Barkman is an undergraduate student at Temple University. Alex works in Dr. Erik Cordes' lab, and is currently studying the effects of ocean acidification and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on deep-sea corals through gene expression studies. She is a 2014 NOAA-Hollings scholar and will be completing an internship with a NOAA mentor next summer. Alex is planing on continuing her education and research in the field after she graduates from Temple University.

Alexandria Barkman plans on graduating from Temple University with a degree in Biology in May 2016.
