This is Sarah's 7th season with the Ocean Exploration Trust team. Originally joining the group as an intern in 2007, Sarah analyzed environmental data for Black Sea expeditions and has been returning every season since 2010 when she created the shipboard role of Data Manager.
Sarah recently received her MS in geological oceanography from the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island. Her work focused on the distribution of volcanic ash in the submarine environment and what it teaches us about the eruptive behavior of submarine volcanoes. Before attending grad school for oceanography, Sarah went through a graduate program in environmental education and natural resource management at the Teton Science Schools in Jackson, WY through the University of Wyoming. She then spent three years working as a field naturalist and educator for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies in Aspen, Colorado.
Sarah Fuller graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2008 with a degree in geology and completed her MS in geological oceanography at the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island in 2015.
