Rachel Gaines

Rachel is a college graduate with a degree in Contemporary Music. After college she found an interest in wildland firefighting and worked for the Park and Forest service for three years. This work led her closer and closer to the coast of California where she began taking marine biology classes and then took an internship on the E/V Nautilus as an Argos Pilot. After this experience she is currently working towards a degree in electrical engineering in hopes of pursuing a similar career. 

Rachel graduated from the College of Santa Fe in 2009 with a degree in Contemporary Music. She is currently taking classes at Monterey Peninsula College and will transfer to a 4-year institution next year.
