James Ian Vaughn
Ian Vaughn is a PhD Candidate in the University of Rhode Island's Ocean Engineering program. His work focuses on very detailed bathymetry measurements and on-line survey planning for autonomous vehicles. Ian got started in ocean engineering by participating on a student AUV competition team during his undergraduate years.
Ian Vaughn graduated from Cornell University in 2004 with a BS in Computer Science and recently finished an MS in Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Ocean Engineering at URI.
