J. Patrick Hickey (Pat) formed Hickey Underwater Vehicle Consulting in 2014 after 27 years with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the last 7 as manager of DSV ALVIN. Pat is experienced in operations and Project Management with wide-ranging expertise in deep submergence technology, project design and management, quality control, procurement, meeting Federal, State and Governmental regulatory standards and training. Pat is an expert working with a broad range of commercial and scientific underwater vehicles and support platforms including multiple remotely operated vehicles and human occupied vehicles including 4500+ hours as Pilot In Command of 650+ dives in the U.S.Navy’s deep diving submersible ALVIN.

J. Patrick Hickey attended the Singapore American School in the early 70's and later graduated from the Collage of Oceaneering (formally the Commercial Diving Center) in Willmington, California in 1976 with a degree in Air and Mixed Gas Diving.
