Prior to entering URI in the fall of 2010, she completed a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Northwestern University, where she also participated in the co-op program.  During the summer of 2009, she was awarded a Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Summer Student Fellowship which allowed her to gain further understanding of deep ocean imaging and research by working with Dr. Hanumant Singh.  Future goals involve working with and developing tools for oceanic research, especially within image processing.
