Alaina Weinheimer is an undergraduate student at Pennsylvania State University. She works in the Baums Lab, coral reef research group, and is studying coral reef ecology. Her main interests lie in coral reef restoration, and she has completed projects involving coral colonies that reside in nurseries. Additionally, Alaina was an REU intern at Mote Marine Laboratory under the Coral Reef Ecology group and Microbiology group. She will be interning at Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute this summer, studying coral reef ecosystems. 

Alaina Weinheimer is a junior at Pennsylvania State University and intends to graduate in 2016 with a degree in Biology and minors in Microbiology and Marine Science.
